- 2 beets
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon

- Fingernail-sized ginger
We peeled all of these and got enough fresh juice for 2 cups, using the Omega 8006 masticating juicer.
Beets lower blood pressure owing to the naturally-occurring nitrates, converted to nitric oxide in the body. Studies have found that consuming beet juices boosts stamina and physical endurance. And yes, beet juice will likely colour your eliminations :)
The orange is among the healthiest citrus fruits because of its wide range of health benefits: its ability to boost the immune system, reduce signs of aging, protect against cancers, help with cellular repair and metabolism, improve circulation, and so on. Clearly, vitamin C is good for you!
Lemons are linked to weight loss because they tend to decrease appetite, help with digestion, and even though they are acidic, lemons balance the pH level of the blood.
Just like beets, the sweet potato is a root vegetable. It is rich in the antioxidant beta-carotene, which raises blood levels of vitamin A. Sweet potatoes have more vitamin C, fewer calories and more carbs than regular potatoes.
For centuries, ginger has been used for medicinal purposes. The phenol compounds in ginger are known to help relieve gastrointestinal irritation, stimulate saliva and bile production and suppress gastric contractions and movement of food and fluids through the GI tract. It helps with nausea, pain reduction and inflammation.
